Galatians 5:16-23 teaches that at any moment we are either walking by the Holy Spirit or according to the sin nature. Walking by the Spirit, enjoying fellowship with God, walking in the light are virtually synonymous. During these times, the Holy Spirit is working in us to illuminate our minds to the truth of Scripture and to challenge us to apply what we learn. But when we sin, we begin to live based on the sin nature. Our works do not count for eternity. The only way to recover is to confess (admit, acknowledge) our sin to God the Father and we are instantly forgiven, cleansed, and recover our spiritual walk (1 John 1:9). Please make sure you are walking by the Spirit before you begin your Bible study, so it will be spiritually profitable.

Passage: Matthew 21:8-11 & John 8:56-59
Series: Interlocked (2023)
Duration: 1 hr 11 mins 40 secs

Previously,
• Jesus was the “wrong” type of Messiah
• They refused to believe that the Messiah is Yahweh Some Jews believed
• His disciples, others
• Some Gentiles believed, too
• What is our reaction to Jesus’ claims?

What happened when the Messiah arrived on this earth and what was the response of the Jews? Listen to this lesson to learn how many of them were not expecting a Savior who suffered, but a political ruler. See that one of the problems at that time were the Pharisees who put rigid, legalistic “fences” around the Mosaic Law to try to prevent themselves from breaking them. Follow along Jesus’ beginning ministry as He and His disciples traveled through Israel. Hear an answer to the question of what happens to those “who have never heard about God.”

Realize that those without the capacity to understand the gospel will be saved. Find out there are no second chances to believe after death and learn about Hades from the story of Lazarus and the rich man. Be motivated to share the gospel with unbelievers when possible.

Passage: Acts 25:12-26:32
Series: Acts (2010)
Duration: 1 hr 4 mins 22 secs
Imagine standing before the President of the United States and the Queen of England and having a chance to tell them what you believe about God. What would you say? Listen to this lesson to hear how the Apostle Paul defended his faith before rulers and kings. Marvel as he lays out the story of his meeting with the resurrected Christ and how he turned from killing Christians to spending the rest of his life telling the good news. Hear the meaning of repentance and the new responsibilities that change brings. Just as God provided for all the details of Paul's life, be assured that He is protecting us and working out every aspect of our lives today.
